The idea of the montage is brilliant...the three different timelines, the editing, the score...great. Im sure this story being told in a linear way would be way boring.
What i meant was that if you dont care about the story, world war 2, what happen in dunkirk for example, there is no way you are going to enjoy it.
I felt the way Nolan tells it, the way he chooses to is brilliant and way better than a linear montage. I was at the edge of my sit because of it. I also loved the photography.

"The Discovery" aka "rejected Black Mirror episode starring Marshall Erikson"
The Discovery gets its premise right, but refuses to take it far enough to make it interesting, and an ending that feels like it was tacked on months later. Basically a film school remake of Eternal Sunshine with none of what that film a masterpiece.

Atomic Blonde was... uh... not the best.
really? I mean i wasnt very interested but i was expecting at least a fun movie.
Starts strong. But you've seen this movie a thousand times before. It devolves into worn tropes. Even the imagery fizzles into ordinary/expected/mundane/predictable. The stunt work is outstanding. Charlize kills it. Sophia is wasted. It's totally fine. I don't hate it. But I left mostly unimpressed. I'll never need to see it again. The soundtrack is fucking badass, though. That was one major highlight.
Agreed on all counts. I would have liked it way more if it were actually filmed in 1989, with action scenes of that era rather than the whole Bourne thing. This was way too self aware.
