Do you think it's possible that Tyrion and/or Jamie/Cersei are children of the mad king?

No. We don't need multiple secret Targaryens.

How about the three-headed dragon? Possibly three dragon riders?

are there ANY far flung theories you've read about that you don't believe?

I've read the books in 2008 and seen the show. It's not so much reading about, as actually reading and seeing for myself. All theories I've believed so far have come true. It's a fantasy series all about such things, where GRRM drops hints all over the place in the books.

It's the same story (just the books have more happening and more characters).

Eh, they're almost different stories at this point.

Besides, I think Jon is Azor Ahai, not Jamie. The stuff with Tyrion or Jamie being the third head of the dragon (with Jon and Dany, is very interesting).

Depends a bit on what happens in both of course, but the main story should continue being the same.

just because he's not Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar doesn't mean he doesn't have dragon blood. I think he's a Blackfyre.

They aren't the same thing. Just like the lotr movies were not the same. Everyone understands that except you for some reason. The books and the series are no longer interchangeable due to the constraints inherent in the medium of tv vs books

LOTR book and movie is much closer than ASOIAF/GoT

They beat the characters and dialogs all to hell in the movies, although the extended versions tried a little more to at least include Tolkien's dialog, even if it was attributed to the wrong characters

After the first two or three seasons, yes.

After the first two or three seasons, yes.

The show did a fantastic job through Tywin's death. Then it just fell off a cliff.

I think LOTR basically was the same story. I've read the book (lotr) twice, and seen the movies several times.

Bigger changes here, but not to the main plot with Dany/Jon. At least not yet. Of course the series has gotten a lot further.

Once GRRM is done with ASOIAF, I would love to see an animated series that is 100% true to the books.

End of s5 and s6 so far have been stunning tv. Look forward to reading what GRRM does in the books.

Agreed. They have already done some in comic books.

Yeah I haven't seen them but I've heard great things about those.
