Because it's pointless. Re-working a song from stems is not re-working a song at all. It adds nothing new; it's just slightly different.
Weel, it depends on how you work on these stems. If you just put them together and add some equalization, there´s no much difference. But if you work on trying to make some arrangements clearer, use certain guitar here and there, change the sound of the snare... is different..

FoN needs less guitars and more keys on the last verse . The keys there is one of the best parts of the entire album.
Actually, the piano on FoN is one of the reasons I didn´t like the song in the first place. Sounds out of place... Instead, in AtW the keys are more prominent, since they are kind of buried in the original mix... but they are very nice on this song...

Backspacer is one of those albums that i feel the need to go back to, specially the last 2 or 3 years. Im not sure i appreciated this one as much as i do these last couple of years...the band is really tight and grooving pretty good here.

Matt and Jeff are really strong.
Interesting - the Backspacer reevaluation has now officially begun. PRAMG was extended to PSTMG, but now it will extend to PBSMG. Perhaps in a few years we shall see the PLBMG.

I think s/t and Backspacer are both overrated, not the other way around. But there has always been some good and some decent songs there.

By the way, i always liked BS. I consider it a very experimental album for the band.
