The acting was terrible. The overacting of all (or very nearly all) the extras was especially bad. The reliance on males or a male taking the lead. The male lead almost demanded a co headline, Wonder Woman and the Douche. The inevitable romantic/sexual relationship was like bad porn. Even Dr Poison couldn't be fair and smooth skinned. Why couldn't that character have not been a young attractive woman?
It was basically a showcase of how many issues a woman has to overcome to merely exist in the world. And then for her to still have fight is a form of victory. The ending where she does it for love stemming from Trek-dude is ultimately male reliance.
It's interesting how many dudes who don't read the WW comics have such an issue with the themes of the film. It's like, just read a goddamn Wonder Woman comic and you'll know what it's about.

You know, that's probably it. And I forgot to mention that in my previous post.

And I just really loved how WW was so completely feminine. She wasn't just a damaged woman who kicks all the asses. But she exemplified the feminine in every way. It wasn't just refreshing but revolutionary in American action cinema. I goddamn loved it. And I think the response we're seeing (woman who literally cry at the action sequences) is such perfect proof of that.
