The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I love how "shocked" the media is. As if this isn't exactly what they have been hoping for.

i don't think/hope thats true..maybe have someone taken by scandel but not in a shooting
I used to think way, but they sell identity now and part of that is demonization of the other.

Hanes?

Hanes?
The cop who freaked out for no reason and shot the guy in Minnesota
The Castillo cop? That was Yanez. Wait... is Yanez the Spanish spelling of Hanes? Whoa.

It's insane to me that he got off. Just stupefying. What an incompetent piece of shit.
Looks like a tragic accident. How would that officer know he was reaching for an ID and not a gun?

Because he'd just calmly disclosed that he had a firearm, and was in the middle of following his earlier directive of handing over his ID. Once the officer yells at Castile not to reach for the gun and Castile assures him he's not, there's literally nothing Castile could've done to stop the officer from shooting him. Literally nothing.

Quote:
Yanez was interviewed by two agents of the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension a day after the shooting. At one point, he told investigators that he thought he was “going to die,” and seemed to correlate his jitters with the fact that he smelled “burned marijuana” coming from Castile’s car.
“As he was pulling out his hand I thought I was gonna die, and I thought if he has the guts and the audacity to smoke marijuana in front of the five-year-old girl, and risk her lungs and risk her life by giving her secondhand smoke ... then what care does he give about me?”
The guy seemed to smell marijuana in the car; who knows what he could have done?
I'm the first to admit I'm not a legal expert, but from my perspective the prosecutor didn't overreach in the charges; the officer was charged with involuntary manslaughter and recklessly using his firearm. They're saying the officer was reckless enough to get a person killed; it just seems hard to argue to the contrary.

Sort of, here's the transcript, remember you are talking about roughly 6 seconds and sometimes people lie to cops (that doesn't mean cops tell the truth).
I can see reckless use of firearm, but involuntary manslaughter would be a hard get given it was a calm legal stop before Castile mentions the gun he has "on him"
