Yeah I was hoping to just add the new songs to the original comp. If i was given poll power i would be willing to do it. Perhaps take suggestions on performances, narrow each one down to a few choices, then open a poll for each song and keep that poll open for a few days?
Where I will need help is getting copies of all the songs elected, especially if people want flac.

Also, people like spenno, lowlight, ridley, etc should be consulted for which versions to consider. You know, the people who have put together tour compilations in the past.

I think it's definitely worthwhile doing, can't believe it's been almost a decade since the original.
There are some original tracks that would be worth updating (there are some superb performances from 2006 that would eclipse stuff included first time around), plus we've had some good soundboard updates to older shows since then (e.g. Orpheum - Dirty Frank, Hard To Imagine; DC - Act of Love, All Those Yesterdays).
Here's my current list of choice versions of the past 2 albums as a starting point:
Life Wasted (St Paul 2006-06-26) World Wide Suicide (Prague 2006-09-22) Comatose (Melbourne 2006-11-16) Severed Hand (Melbourne 2006-11-13) Marker In The Sand (Dublin 2006-08-23) Parachutes (Vic Chicago 2007-08-02) Unemployable (San Francisco 2006-07-15) Big Wave (Perth 2009-11-14) Wasted Reprise (Albany 2006-05-12) Army Reserve (Albany 2006-05-12) Come Back (Philadelphia 2006-05-27) Inside Job (Las Vegas 2006-07-06)
Gonna See My Friend (Phili 2010-10-30) Got Some (2009-06-01 Conan O'Brien - only performance not drop-tuned?) The Fixer (all sounds the same to me - suggestions? The video clip version sounds good and is not drop tuned but has that horrible canned crowd noise) Johnny Guitar (Auckland 2009-11-27) Just Breathe (New York 2010-05-21) Amongst The Waves (Perth 2009-11-14) Unthought Known (Berlin 2010-06-30) Supersonic (New Orleans 2010-05-01) Speed Of Sound (Hartford 2010-05-15) Force Of Nature (Melbourne 2009-11-20) The End (Los Angeles 2009-10-07)
Of The Earth (Dublin 2010-06-22) Ole (Vancouver 2011-09-25)
There are also a plethora of covers introduced since 2004. I'd vote for the Vh1 Rock Honours versions of Love Reign and Real Me - probably the best performance of anything the band has given in the last 5 years.

This is a great idea.
Right on. I was wondering about this very same thing not that long ago.

Dublin is definitely the right Of The Earth to use. For Ole, I'd say without a doubt Ottawa 2011. Eddie screams it 1998 style.
Yeah - Ottawa is probably the best vocals-wise, I just like the 'come on you fucker!' bit at the end of Vancouver's version - hey wasn't that (mis)directed at a RM user?

Gotta have a good recording of it.
I thought the idea behind the GH compilation was to have every song performance documented, chronologically ordered and from there selecting the best performance while taking sound quality in to account but that factor not being the foremost criteria.

I don't think there's even an audience recording circulating of that show, only YouTube videos.

Which you'd have to pull the audio from but since it is possible I would include it.
