It would take alot of balls to make her story the third star wars story film. But I think it would be very good. You could bring back characters from the first 3 movies and make it work better. But it seems disney is content with make sure people forget those.
I think we're starting to see more and more incorporated from the prequel trilogy as we move forward. I think JJ was content in helping people forget them. But Disney doesn't seem as reticent.

I seem to find myself lately wanting more of the fringe characters, but they all seem way cooler. Ahsoka, Hera, Cad Bane, Ventriss, even Sabine. But maybe I'm just worn out on the white guy hero thing? I know we are getting away from that in the new trilogy, but Luke is still the main plot of the movies. Idk.

I think I'm with you, buddy. I like the old characters, sure. But the new ones -- the non-white guy heros -- are far more attractive and interesting to me personally.

I finished her book. I liked it more than the average Star Wars novels. I think b/c it's a young adult novel, it doesn't pretend to be something it's not. Let's be honest, Star Wars is not deep subject matter. Most of it is dumbed down for kids. If you try to make an adult novel with adult themes within this juvenile universe, it usually comes out bad.
Anyhow ... 4/5 stars.

I'm starting to really doubt an Ahsoka stand alone live action film. But... what about an animated feature? Do you guys think people would shell out the money for that? Animation technology is so outstanding now. Even something like the pre-rendered animated scenes for Battlefront 2 are so gorgeous and life-like. I wonder if we couldn't someday see an Ahsoka animated feature in that style.

There's a problem with introducing her into the films. And it's because of exactly how popular she is. No matter how they do it and who they get to do it you're gonna have people complain. If they don't get Ashley to play her and If they get someone else to play her then you're really gonna have people complain. She is a loose end that needs to be tied up but I don't think it'll happen in a live action movie.
Leave her in the animated realm and you can do anything and keep everyone happy. Until of course she meets her end and then you'll have people complain how it was handled.
I think people are overstating her potential casting. They just recast Han solo. Guys... if people love that movie, then that's the end of the casting argument forever. If people will accept someone other than Ford as Han Solo (and they will BECAUSE IT'S JUST A FUCKING MOVIE), then they'll absolutely accept anyone playing Ahsoka Tano.
However, having said that, I will once again say that I think it's pretty unlikely that we'll ever get an Ahsoka live-action appearance. Maybe an animated stand alone film or a series or something. It sucks but I think that's just where we are.
