This sounds flatter than I remember ... be cool to have a mashup of a song like this from 95 through all its versions to now. It never changed I know. Just the way it's played has so much.

I can agree with that now. I loved it at the time. He's growling and roaring and full of piss and vinegar during that whole period with only the barest notion of melody. Cos he was intense and angry about everything and that fit. Looking back on a lot of it induces some cringe.
