I dig the novelty of this. I really do. And I think there's an interesting song buried in there. But it doesn't get me jazzed the way I wanted it to. The actual record is more charming (because of the ritual and all that) than the weird terrible YouTube rip, though.
Really liked this, especially the lyrics. The TMR version was sung in a lower key and I think that suits this song better than how he sung it at the live debut.
Is there any decent recording of the TMR version available besides the YT rip?

I'm sorry but this is just terrible. Ed sounds thin and reedy, the guitar sounds plasticky, the song is a boring tuneless slog, and the performance is sloppy and half-assed. The mistake they left in at 1:10 is pretty shocking. Is that really the official released version?
You know i actually like this song. Its less heart on your sleeve and cheesy than many of his other recent offerings. The guitar playing and changes are rather adolescent but I like the vocal melody and some of the lines.

definitely prefer the Third Man recording over the live one. the live version really intensifies that strange sounds Ed can get in his voice sometimes where it sounds like his mouth has a huge bubble in it or something.
