Pearl Jam
Cox Arena
San Diego State University
San Diego, CA
July 10, 1998

** 16 BIT **

Source: Sonic Studios DSM-6P w/3-way lo-cut filter, position unknown (most likely @ 80hz, middle setting) > Sony WM-D6
Transfer: Master cassettes (Maxell XLII-S) > Denon 790R > Kenwood A-522 amplifier > Kenwood GE-622 Equalizer > .WAV @ 16 bit/44.1 kHz
Mastering: .WAV > Sound Forge Pro 11.0 (Build 299) [splicing; WAVES C4 Multiband Parametric Processor plugin (UNcompressor); iZotope Mastering Suite (declick); minor edits, normalize, & fades] > CDWav tracking) > Trader's Little Helper (level 5) > FLAC > TagScanner 6.0.18 (tagging)
Location: Section E, row 17, seat 4 - middle of the floor, right of the SBD
Recorded & transferred by: Steve "ballsdeep" Hagar
Mastered by: Dennis Orr

Setlist:
01 Crowd
02 Long Road
03 Corduroy
04 Last Exit
05 Brain Of J.
06 Do The Evolution
07 Given To Fly
08 In Hiding
09 Rearviewmirror
10 Immortality
11 Wishlist
12 Nothingman
13 Spin The Black Circle
14 Even Flow
15 Daughter > Roam (1)
16 Chat
17 MFC
18 Alive
19 Hail Hail
20 Encore Break #1
- Encore #1 -
21 Jeremy
22 Go
23 Lukin
24 Better Man
25 Leaving Here
26 Black
27 Rockin' In The Free World (2)
28 Encore Break #2
- Encore #2 -
29 Yellow Ledbetter

(1) part of the B-52's song, only time played by Pearl Jam
(2) includes Eddie's tongue-in-cheek rant about flag burning

Eddie Vedder - lead vocals, harp, & acoustic guitar
Mike McCready - lead guitar & backing vocals
Stone Gossard - rhythm guitar & backing vocals
Jeff Ament - bass & backing vocals
Matt Cameron - drums & percussion

Mastering Notes:
- Tape flip during "Wishlist" (at 2:24) - seamlessly spliced, a few seconds of music lost
- Tape flip during "Encore Break #1" applause - seamlessly spliced, no music lost
- The recorder was stopped and restarted during the "Encore Break #2" applause - seamlessly spliced, no music lost

Show Notes:
I don't remember a tremendous amount about this show other than it was bacchanalian in nature. This was my 6th PJ show in a row, and they truly pulled out all of the stops. If you beg do differ, just listen to the performance of "Rockin' In The Free World" from this night. It was probably as close to the craziness of Indio '93 that was ever witnessed by myself. Not to mention the rest of the set was Yield-solid. Had great seats, and the recording reflects that. The PJ community was (and at times still can be) rather 'uppity' back in the day, so I hardly circulated any of my masters from the '98 tour (Albuquerque being the exception). Probably my 2nd best '98 PJ recording, next to Birmingham, AL (which was recorded from 3rd row, Stone's side).

He most definitely jams. His name is Dennis. Throw him alms and praise for uploading my trash. I just push the buttons. More to come. Much, much more...

I listened to this while I did some spring cleaning this morning. It sounds pretty good. I was worried about the girl screaming her head off at the beginning but I didn't notice her again for the rest of the recording. Thanks for taping!

That's weird as hell, it should be where it says "Torrent file" up the top - it is for me.

Strange...should look like this, with a clickable link on the "Torrent file" line:

If you are still having difficulties, LMK and I'll dropbox it for you or something.
