The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

Bored by 4yr old daughter with this one. Although, she was excited when RBG got her robe, b/c she had to wait through most of the book for "my hero" to get her superhero costume.

Question about this Gorsuch stuff. Can Democrats just abstain from the vote? Seems like that's what I'd want to do. "I won't stand in his way, but I'm not dignifying this bullshit with a vote."
Nina Totenburg (sp?) was on NPR talking about 8-10 Democratic Senators in states that went strongly for Trump, who probably can't risk voting no.

Absolutely, members of Congress vote present all the time on things. Seems like a good out for someone like Joe Manchin or Heidi Heitkamp.
Doesn't this kinda fall under "who cares?". For the average person, does knowing the name of a SCOTUS justice improve their life in meaningful way? Knowing the name of a nominee might, since they could pressure their local reps to vote one way or another, but for someone stocking shelves at Walmart what does it matter?

Your argument is strengthened when even Jeopardy contestants couldn't get this right:

As for Gorsuch, the first major indication I've seen from him came today when he, along with Thomas, would have wanted to hear a case challenging the restriction on soft money in campaigns.
