The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
It's nice, but it's not "complete" or "unedited" as they claim. Download the SRS version.
Hi, what's the SRS version and anyone still have it?
Also, do the KROQ, KOME, and AUS Promo 2-CD versions all sound the same? Out of these three, which do folks prefer? Thanks.
The "complete" promos that I've downloaded (and purchased) are all lossy, which leads me to believe that perhaps we are dealing with some kind of bootleg and not an authentic promo?
The Australian promo is good and lossless but has some editing between tracks.
The SRS...I dunno. A lot of those have fallen out of favor with me. If a "complete" lossless version were to surface, I would do it over again.
The radio promo CDs (KROQ, KOME) are lossy? I have the KROQ "official bootleg" CDs and the Dissident singles. The waveforms look very similar but I haven't done a frequency analysis or comparison. Have you?
KROQ is complete and unedited. The sound is great too; vey dynamic for a live rock show from the era. But I prefer the Sony Music Australia promo for this show.

The SRS version of this show is still my go-to live PJ listen. So many songs are the definitive version imo. The Sonic Reducer is one of the most badass single performances they’ve ever given.
In 2001 when I was in college, I picked up the full 3 cd “Dissident” version of the show for way too much money at a small indie store in Venice Beach. What a day that was. Are those things worth any money? I’m old & jaded now.

They're not, I bought all 3 of them for less than $20 on Discogs a few years ago.

Billy Corgan has been very vocal about bootlegs appearing on streaming apps. The artists don't receive a cent.
I think it's some weird European loophole that allows these unofficial bootlegs to appear on streaming sites (and, back in the day, solid in major chain stores on the high street). Spotify seems to clamp down on them but YouTube Music/Amazon Music is full of unofficial PJ bootlegs that are billed as official releases alongside their studio albums.
