The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
they're grooming TP to be the manager next year, right?
I really don't think that's the case right now. He's been here since 1991 as a player, was the hitting coach for years and years before they moved him to first base. Snitker was at 3rd before becoming the manager at Triple A Gwinnett (and he's been here 40 something years) As of today, I really think they are going outside of the current group of coaches. Pendleton might go to the minors unless he stays with the major league club in some capacity. I would imagine they make some kind of play for Ned Yost to come back, but Bud Black was the other long time rumor. A lot of people here want Pendleton to get a shot to be manager, If he wants it, I'm sure he'll get an interview, I'm just not all that confident they want anyone that's in place right now.

What a great catch by Inciarte last night to end the game. The Braves actually are not awful right now. And they are all but certain to finish with under 100 losses, something that seemed a given back in May. Dumping Fredi was the right move.

6 in a row. Damn nice catch from Inciarte. I can't remember the last time I felt this comfortable about outfield choices. I love the frank honesty of Coppalella. Firing Fredi was certainly the correct move. He couldn't manage the team he had, and Snitker was just better positioned having known most of them since the minors.
They only need one more out of 9 to ensure they don't lose 100. Man the Matt Kemp move was just brilliant and probably a stroke of luck too.
I wonder who they are going to make a run at in the offseason. I still think they could use two starting pitchers at the top of the rotation. I'd much rather Swanson maybe play 3rd, it would be interesting if they could possibly get Simmons back. Looks like Albies is going to be back by spring to audition at 2nd.

They should be able to improve quite a bit just by getting more contributions and improvements from their young players, but there aren't enough good free agents available to turn them into a good team by next year.
Given most of my money goes to paying for children and children's expenses these days I guess I'll be lumped in with the "bad fans" that don't "support the team"
