The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Introducing Logan as being suicidal, having him literally being almost killed by a version of himself, and then that destructive version of him is destroyed by his daughter, who he finds a purpose and connection with in his final moments.
The last 20 minutes are fantastic, and I find them genuinely moving and emotional. I'm not sure it all completely works, but it's an admirable attempt.
Dafne Keen's performance will deservedly go down as one of the great child performances, up there with Anna Paquin in The Piano.
kinda bugged me, thought that the clone wolverine was gonna be omega red n the doctor be sinister.... now that I think about it, it's probably for the better that they weren't
Kinda figured on him dying being that it was set in the future n hj basically said it was his last film
Loved how brutal it was, especially x23.. Def not a kids film..
So which x force character was one of the kids supposedly??

Rictor (for your question, not really a spoiler so) Rictor (the kid that flipped the truck) was an original New Mutant, X-Factor, and X-Force.
The X-24 Wolverine clone is the only thing I didn't like. They should have used a very feral Sabertooth that they had limited mind control over. That would have worked... and they even had discussions of bringing Liev back to play him.

I will say one thing I think is lacking in this movie is context for the world in which it's set. There are all these passing references to mutants being nearly wiped out, and one toward the end about Richard E. Grant being the one who did it, but none of that is ever illustrated. It was very vague, which made Logan and Xavier's exhaustion and desperation a bit formless and unearned.

Xavier admits right before he dies, he did a terrible thing in Westchester. In the comic Old Man Logan, Mysterio makes Wolverine think the school is under attack, and Wolverine kills all the X-men. So, I think they left it vague on purpose. Did Xavier kill them with one of his headaches, did he make Wolverine do it? its kinda left up to us to decide. I kept waiting for a flash back to show it, but I'm kinda glad they didn't do it.

Wiki is wrong. He showed up 5 years after New Mutants started.
I tend to block him out of my X-mind. I CANT STAND most of the X-Factor stories from that time period. It was a good character to toss in for Logan though, since hes such a minor player in the X-universe.

I'd still have gone with an old / aged / barely there Sabertooth. I doubt they'll use him again anyway, so why not have Sabertooth end with Wolverine. Hugh even said they considered it.

But Logan said there were no mutants left other than himself, Charles and Caliban so to bring Sabertooth in they'd have had to used a "cloned" Sabertooth. I think LV's interpretation is more elegant.
