I agree, ST is a wonderful album. Quite possibly Wilco's best.

It's an odd, happy record, and the Bowie/T-Rex production is a fresh coat of paint for Wilco. I love it.

The chorus for "Surf Wax America" is a great example of the kind of melodies Rivers excels at, but I think "Buddy Holly" is that album's greatest triumph
