Solid, but pretty straight for BPB. Except for "Bird Song," not really my favorite selection of tunes. Have you heard his "Brokedown Palace," Ruddo?

Last night's show:

Set 1:
The Music Never Stopped
Cold Rain and Snow
Friend of the Devil
They Love Each Other
Liberty
Cassidy
The Promised Land

Set 2:
Eyes of the World
Deal
Estimated Prophet
Drums
Space
Feel Like a Stranger
Black Peter
Turn On Your Love Light

Eyes of the World was about 35 minutes long.

Estimated Prophet was fantastic. So was Love Light

Great set, Ruddo. "Deal" has become one of my favorite GD tunes.

As a fairly new Dead fan but with a lot of die hard friends, it seems as though Cornell is one of the all time greats, yes?

Definitely among the most famous, for sure. As is the case with big-deal shows for any band, there are some who thinks the hype/legend outshines the music, but it will probably be in every discussion of the best Dead shows from now until the end of time. It's also in the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry --
perhaps the only "bootleg" recording in there?

I've been obsessed with the so-called "Beautiful Jam" for the past week.

Just a few random GD thoughts here

Sometimes as I go about my day, the recurring motif that frames "The Other One" plays around and around in my head between tasks. I got into this band in my 30s. If it wasn't for Spotify I don't know that I'd have the energy to power through all of this live material.

We've been making our way through the Long Strange Trip doc on Amazon for the last week. One episode left. I don't want it to end.
