Heard their new single (Joyride) by chance this summer and liked it. The rest of the album blows, but I decided to explore their back catalog because I was a fan of a song called The Clincher over a decade ago. Turns out, there are about two dozen songs I really like. I won't be joining their fan club, but I will have a permanent playlist for running.

Five faves: 1) Family System 2) Shameful Metaphors 3) The Clincher 4) One Ocean 5) Hats Off To The Bull

PS. I really expect a lot of positive replies.

I still enjoy "The Red", even though it's a shameless Tool knock-off. Oh, and "Send the Pain Below".

I remember thinking their first Tool ripoff single (with Tool ripoff video) was kinda cool.

turns out it wasn't.

I make no apologies for still enjoying a few Nu Metal and Post-Grunge tunes here and there.

I think Alter Bridge is post-post-grunge.

I've never heard Alter Bridge. Also, Creed sucks. I've never liked DOTN. I don't think I've ever heard 7M3 song.

If that's what you call it... I call it blatant rip-off artists, which is why I referenced those other bands you claim to have never heard. Hey, if you like Chevelle, check out this band called Breaking Benjamin... There's also one called 10Years. They both do a much better job ripping off Tool.

That fucking 7M3 song is unavoidable. I'm sure you've heard it.

The only reason I know who Alter Bridge is is because I frequent a Pearl Jam message board in the year 2016.

I like that one DotN song they had before the lead singer pulled an Axl and fired everybody.

Creed sucks.
