if they played all or none like they played it in philly, it's pretty underwhelming -- they leave off the best parts of the outro.

They played this really well, except for Ed messing up the "we're all alright" part.

It's funny that Rick Nielsen spent half of that video looking for a microphone to sing into.

I didn't hear philly but the solo definitely didn't have the fire of the studio version, and Mike was generally killer all night

I think Ed must have the stink breath. Did you see how Rick tried to share the mic with Ed at the beginning, and then abruptly ran away?

Yeah they nailed that, Ed sounded great. Rick Neilsen was super awkward. The guy may be a giant tool.

judging from that surrender video and other various accounts i've heard, michael mccready sounds like the MVP of this tour.

He was amazing the last two nights, Even Flow solo completely behind his back was so cool. I think Black night 1, and Even Flow night 2 were his highlights.

Crazy thing is Im reading the fanviews on the pearljam.com forums and people seem disappointed stating night 1 is better, while people here seem satisfied. Whats going on? O__O

The official PJ forum is basically a cult.

That was a really good performance of Surrender. I'm really hoping these Philly / MSG boots aren't plagued by the vocal track issue found in other 2015/2016 shows.

And as the song starts Ed gives the "he's crazy" circling of his head. Love the version.

I could analyze Rick Nielsen's weird behavior in this video all day. From watching his mouth I don't see how he could be singing anything more than maybe the first syllable of a few random words here and there.
