Thanks Spenno, that was an awesome read. It reminds me a lot of this novel by Chuck Klosterman:

Read it, read it, read it.

Apparently Sam Mendes is making this into a movie. Spielberg is producing.

I'm not fully convinced that murder ever happened.

That suggests that he made it up after reading an article about the Cruz murder.
What made me suspect the murder was made up was the fact that he made himself to be the protagonist of it all.

I wish Paul Verhoeven were directing this. Sam Mendes sucks.

I read that article two weeks ago and told my wife all about it. We stayed at a hotel this weekend and spent the first twenty minutes or so in the room trying to figure out where all the cameras/spy holes were.

This has been a great read so far. It's interesting to read how often people vote against their own best interests because they are party voters and not issue voters.

The protagonist of this story is not guiltless. She drives a PT Cruiser, after all.

I can't imagine the cops doing their due diligence in cities with more crime than Irvine. She would have been totally boned if this had happened almost anywhere else.

Irvine is such a bizarre place.

From personal experience, all I can say is that they take traffic infractions very seriously.
