Did they go on like a 10 week break for season 2?

Great interview with show writer Liz Cackowski on The New Hollywood last week, lots of insight to the show.

I watched the first 6 episodes of this. I really liked the first three episodes before the January Jones character appeared. Before that I really liked the main character (he was a dick, but a funny dick) now I can't stand him at all. Just as he started wanting to fuck January Jones and shaved his beard he's nothing but annoying. Will this arc end soon? This went from hilarious end-of-the-world shenanigans to stupid "I'm a disgusting and swarmy guy" comedy that mostly just makes me cringe. January Jones' character just brings nothing to the table.

January Jones's role becomes increasingly diminished as the show goes on, while Phil starts to struggle with being his natural, disgusting self vs. trying to be an honest person. The first half of S2 was pretty weak, but it has picked up significantly and is now putting out some of the best episodes yet.

Quit whining. The Jealousy stuff is better with Mr. Superhunk for other reasons. It's not jealousy with him, its inadequacy.

Okay, but I still don't like what it brings to the show.

I'll just stop watching now. I obviously don't like what the showing is going for and don't want to be the guy doing nothing but complaining in this thread.

Watched the first two episodes of this last night - seems pretty good so far!

Fuck. This actually breaks my heart.

http://deadline.com/2018/05/the-last-ma ... 202381548/

I haven't seen any other articles (not surprising) but for some reason im hoping its fake.

I love this show and the end of season 4 was great and i was looking forward to at least one more season to wrap it up neatly. Now it just hangs in the balance.

This was a funny show and super touching. Also quite unique.

People suck.

It's not fake, it was announced a few weeks ago when they also cancelled Brooklyn Nine Nine

I'm sure the showrunners knew this would be the end, and the ending they chose for the season was how they wanted to end the series all along. Living with dozens of new characters would make the show ridiculous. This was a good end

We fell off last season. This show started really strong but it began to feel tedious, despite Will Forte's true brilliance.

Was that annoying Australian girl on until the very end? She is one of the worst actresses I've seen in my life.

She's there. I never had a problem with her. They never asked her to do very much. January Jones might actually have been my favorite character

Recently started this show and loving it. It’s very topical for the here and now. Love the use of all the Kinks songs. Too bad it was cancelled.
