Def Leppard owe a debt to that song. It pretty much set their sound for the first three albums.

Big fan of Dog Eat Dog.

Jailbreak's pretty unbeatable too.

Powerage - No real hits but this album just kicks it. Beginning to end with no break. The absolute essence of AC/DC.
TNT (Australian release) - My introduction to AC/DC. Bon may not have been a great singer but damn, he could write lyrics and tell stories. A huge step up from the first album, High Voltage.

Let There be Rock - How an album with Whole Lotta Rosie and Let There Be Rock ends up number three just speaks to how good those first two albums are.
Highway to Hell - Great highlights but the first album I thought that contained anything close to filler. their first attempt at going commercial, or at least commercial for AC/DC.

Dirty Deeds - Only ranked so low because I think Big Balls and Love At First Feel, while being fun songs are just too juvenile, even by AC/DC standards.
High Voltage (Australian release) - The first album. Little Lover shows all the promise of things to come.

Well, I can't resist a good 'ol fashioned ranking...(all are US releases, so just 5 albums)

Powerage
Highway to Hell
High Voltage
Dirty Deeds ("Aint No Fun..." just might be my second favorite AC/DC song)
Let There Be Rock

pretty much this, though Dirty Deeds and LTBR could easily go back and forth depending on the day

anyone who ranks Powerage #5 is fucking nuts

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson was “kicked to the curb” according to Johnson’s friend and comedian Jim Breuer, after the 67-year-old frontman informed band co-founder Angus Young of his hearing condition.

Breuer informed listeners of AC/DC’s situation via his podcast, “The Metal In Me,” after recently spending time with Johnson following his March 11 show at Sarasota Florida’s McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre.

“(Brian) said that he called and let (AC/DC and Young) know, ‘Hey this is what the doctor said, but let’s try to figure this out. I don’t think it’s as bad as he said it is.’ Literally the next day in the press, it was ‘Brian Johnson, tour canceled, he’s losing his hearing.’ ”

According to Breuer, Johnson was optimistic about making up the dates on the band’s current U.S. tour and finishing as many remaining dates on the AC/DC itinerary as possible. Then his tour luggage showed up on his driveway.

“(Brian said) 'I would really like to finish and do some shows. I think we can knock this out.’ ” Breuer continued. “Then all his luggage that he toured with showed up at his driveway. There’s been no calls. No, ‘How’s your hearing? How’s your health?’ Boom. Here’s your (stuff), nice to know you.”

Brutal.

Time to hang it up, Angus.

The band and Brian have been very upfront why and when this happened. After the Fly On The Wall, when it came time to write the next album Brian was going through a lengthy divorce and wasn't there for those sessions. The Malcolm brothers continued writing without him and it worked for them, s they continued doing it that way. Would that have happened with Bon, I doubt it but Bon was a vastly better lyricist than Brian.

Angus is seriously overplaying his hand if he's thinking about continuing the band on a permanent basis without Brian...if he wants to grab a guest vocalist for the rescheduled gigs that's somewhat understandable but he needs to remember that replacing Brian Johnson is not nearly the same thing as replacing Phil Rudd or his brother for that matter...from a straight up likability standpoint, no one in the band, not even Angus, is more likable than Brian
