The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
To be clear, I liked it in spite of its obvious flaws. I thought it was still a lot of fun. But most everyone else hated it. Or was severely disappointed. Since most of RM tends away from my preferences, I think it's best if you lower expectations.
the expectations were chipped away as the season progressed

I liked what they tried to do, updating it for 2016, and appreciated it for what it was. My favorite was the trash man episode where they took a monster spin on a Banksy-like myth.
The way I'm feeling about the X-Files, is how I kinda felt with TFA (my thoughts are buried somewhere on that thread). I mean, I don't hate it, I found it kinda enjoyable, but I also feel / felt it was a little unnecessary, with some dashes of "meh" sprinkled over it.
I didnt hate the finale..Yeah, it felt so rushed, so out of pace...The dialogue was pretty bad, even the acting was bad too....but i guess it was ok. I dont think we need more of the x files than just a movie with, finally, fuckin aliens.
I'm sure I've watched every episode of the first seven seasons at least twice. Once for the original TV run and then when it came out on DVD. I've been watching Season 1 again on Netflix and the vast majority of the episodes I barley remember to the point where they are basically new episodes to me. Early on set dementia sure has its benefits for re-watching TV shows.
I think my favorite Scully moment is after handling with rubber gloves evidence that contained a deadly pathogen she takes out her phone and dials a number with the gloves still on and puts it to her face.
I never finished the last season. Did it end ok, or was it stupid? I thought outside of like 2 shows that it was pretty bad. I lost interest and gave up on it. Now that it's coming back again, and since I'm a sucker for the X-Files, I'll end up watching it and tune into the new season.

It was stupid.
Yeah, but the one with Murray from Flight if the Conchords was awesome.
