Bill Cosby charged with sexually assaulting a woman 12 years ago; comedian could face prison
NORRISTOWN, Pa. — Bill Cosby was charged Wednesday with sexually assaulting a woman at his home 12 years ago — the first criminal charges brought against the comedian out of the torrent of allegations that destroyed his good-guy image as America's Dad. The case sets the stage for perhaps the biggest Hollywood celebrity trial of the mobile-all-the-time era and could send the 78-year-old Cosby to prison in the twilight of his life and barrier-breaking career. In bringing the case, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman overruled her predecessor, who declined to charge Cosby in 2005 when Temple University employee Andrea Constand first told police that the comic drugged her and violated her by putting his hands down her pants at his mansion in suburban Philadelphia.

Like Michael Jackson apologists.
Come on. The obvious difference is the amount of accusers. Jackson had, what, two kids who say he diddled them? For some, that's small enough to shrug off as just money-hungry people. For me personally, it's small enough to at least be somewhat skeptical.
Cosby has 50+ accusers. No way can I discount that, and Cosby's body of work means way more to me than MJ's.

True, Trag. But this is my issue. No amount of money nor body of work should be relevant.

I don't think he's saying it is. Just that the two cases aren't exactly equal.

I'm not about the rank the offences (Jimmy Saville would take the cake there) but there seems to be a host of apologists for any crime by a personality. I know that there are many false accusations.
