I'm a fan but I'll go out on a limb and suggest that most of RM isn't.
Anyone want to talk SNL with me?
HUGE fan. Have seen nearly every single episode since Woody Harrelson hosted in 1989 (I was 9 at the time). Have read all the books, even Tom Davis's slog. Have done the set tour. Watch all the cut-for-time sketches online (ALL of them). Wrote a letter to NBC informing them of my boycott when Trump recently hosted.

Moynihan seems a little high here. I couldn't put him higher than McKinnon, for instance.
Che and Jost are an excellent update pairing, too.

he just scratches my itch...i like him in almost everything...plus cast isn't that strong to me
che and jost haven't won me over yet, but they're getting better
i like the offbeat mooney and bennett humor, but i don't think snl is going to allow them to delve too deeply into it

Moar info plz.
The NBC tour at 30 Rock is fantastic. My wife took me for my birthday one year when we lived in Brooklyn. You see a lot of different NBC production stuff, but the time spent in SNL land is substantial. We happened to be able to watch them rehearse a skit for that weekend's show (from an observation window overlooking the studio floor), and Bill Hader came out and spoke to our group for a couple minutes. The tour guide said this never happens. Jason Sudeikis also came out, but he didn't interact at all.
You get to see some of the costumes, wigs, masks, etc from past episodes (most of the set design stuff is kept off-site). Also, it's great fun to see all the framed photographs of past cast members, hosts, and musical guests.
The studio is tiny. Just three small stages, and not a lot of seats (which now makes the backing applause track during the show's intro painfully obvious -- the level of crowd enthusiasm that you HEAR during the intro is always way more intense than what you're actually SEEING).
I have tried to get tickets in the lottery every year, but still no dice. Have never stood in the standby line because I was never in the area when PJ was playing, and there's no other host or musical guest that would compel me to do that.

I like this cast, and I don't really have a problem with anyone in it. I tried to rank them all, but the only part of my list that felt right was the top three:

Also: Yikes Lenny -- You'd put Rudnitsky above Jones? According to the SNL site, he's only been in 14 sketches to her 76. You really don't like her, huh?

Vanessa Bayer Aidy Bryant Cecily Strong
They're all at least 7/10 (Bayer is maybe the strongest of the three) but I think McKinnon is at least 9/10.

i almost wanted to put him over zamata too based on potential alone
pharaoh does some good impressions, but beyond that i think he's garbage
