just finished season 4.
Ill miss this. When is it coming back?
Season 5 already aired, though FX pulls their shows from streaming once they're not broadcasting. Will probably be on Netflix in a couple months. Though apart from having my most favorite episode ever, season 5 otherwise takes a pretty noticable dive -- for the first time, it seems like he's recycling a lot of ideas.

No, I don't think so -- only ten episodes, I think. But it's the only one to have the "mini-movie" format, with both the "In The Woods" episode, and the 6-episode "Hurricane Jasmine Forsythe" arch. S5 returns to the more familiar format of S1-3, but with the darker tone of S4.

Last I heard, Louie was taking an extended hiatus -- I think FX said to expect at least two years? He's busy producing two other shows, one film, plus he serves as one of the main voice actors in The Secret Life of Pets.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed S5, but felt it was a little tired. I'm hoping he'll come back recharged, and of course the actors who play his daughters will have aged considerably, so that should be ripe for new story ideas.

Any one watched CK's other show, Horace & Pete, on Hitflix? There's a bit in USA Today about how he's really proud of it and not really feeling Louie anymore.

Yeah, Horace and Pete is a masterpiece at the same level as Louie, but in a totally different style. I don't see Louie coming back, but Louis is still at the top of his game and we're going to see a lot of other great stuff from him.

I'm OK with no more Louie. There's already so much good stuff in there, and Horace and Pete just proved that Louis is capable of mastery in other forms. I'm more excited to see which direction he goes next than I am about a sixth season of Louie.

I thought Baskets was very Louie.
That show kind of got lost in the shuffle for me but I saw his influence on the few episodes I watched. I had been aware of of Horace & Pete but haven't sought it out. There's just too much stuff out there to see. Being able to set apart time to sit & watch something is an accomplishment within itself.

It's pirate-able. And Louis just spent 5mil buying the rights back. Idk if he intended to release it on louisck.net or what, but I can't imagine that would have gone over well.
