but jurassic park has hit all the bases of unavoidable since it came out. Mega Blockbuster tentpole, cultural icon, multiple sequels, family friendly enough to be aired on a variety of different stations relatively unedited (even network)... to not have seen it is just crazy to me.

Agreed on Mick. That movie was huge and he's of the age where it was right in his wheelhouse.

I just never ended up seeing it when it was big, and I haven't had any desire to seek it out in the years since.
