Just when I thought I was out, they drag me back in.
Listening to 2014 US shows, I was pleasantly surprised to find the band in the best form I think they've been in years. I really enjoyed listening to almost all of the shows, so much so I was prompted to make what, to me, feels like a sprawling epic of a mix. I tried to capture the general spirit of the shows on this leg and highlight some of my favourite performances (though I was still forced to omit some very worthy contenders.)
I enjoyed putting this together, I hope some of you guys enjoy it too.

Listening now. The Come Back -> Future Days segment is a little cringe-inducing on paper, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt here considering the source. I'm quite enjoying it so far, half way through the "main set"

awesome, thanks. looking forward to listening.
so what were the tracks that were tough to leave off or, as you say, very worthy contenders?
Denver had the best version of My Father's Son they've played yet, that was tough to leave off.
I really wanted to include the reworked Love Boat Captain with the Stones-y intro (St Paul was my favourite) but I just couldn't fit it in anywhere I was happy with. I decided it would only have worked in the same position that Swallowed Whole is in and I didn't want to lose that so it had to go.
Corduroy from St Louis was very solid, that came and went from the tracklisting a few times.
A number of really good Even Flows: St Paul, Denver, Moline.
Ed's Bogart's/Wayne's World story in Cincinnati was easily my favourite bit of stage banter from the tour, I wish I could've found a way to fit it in but it led into a not-good-enough version of State of Love and Trust and I didn't think it really flowed anywhere else (not to mention it only makes sense in the context of Cincinnati and I'm usually hesitant to include anything too city-specific on these mixes as it kind of ruins the illusion of a coherent show).
A few of the other No Code songs from Moline were great, particularly In My Tree, Smile and Habit (not to mention Given to Fly, Mind Your Manners and Garden which were all likewise very, very good).
I'd hesitated over which version of Fuckin' Up to include, Moline or Milwaukee, and even mixed a complete version with the former but the Milwaukee version was just that little bit more ragged and unhinged.
I liked Insignificance and Half Full from Lincoln except for the fact that Ed has a long discussion about a six year-old kid down the front between them and then mentions him again partway through Half Full. People bringing their little kids to Pearl Jam shows is something of a personal bugbear of mine so, despite mixing both into an early version of the mix, I ended up taking them out as I was getting annoyed every time they rolled around in the playlist.

Thanks for sharing! Listened to most of it at work today. Some good choices, they did some good things. Surprises: Come Back had a bit of a different feel, and it was a good thing. And I don't know what was different about Future Days (aside from the dirty organ tone) but it was kinda good. Was it half a step down? By far the best I've heard.

Thanks so much for the feedback!
Neither Come Back nor Future Days are songs I have much fondness for but I liked both of those versions a lot. There's a kind of slapback echo on those two Detroit tracks (NAIS and Come Back - presumably down to the reverberations in the venue being picked up by the crowd mics) that actually kind of works.
Yes, I think Future Days is played in a lower key than on the album (but I think that might have been the case for all of the live versions).
