I just got into the Nerdist podcasts recently, those are usually pretty good....I still enjoy Marc Maron's WTF, but not as consistently or as much as I did, say, 2 years ago

Smodcast Hollywood Babble-On Mohr Stories Nerdist - though, I've started skipping some if I've never really heard of the guests. I usually enjoy the hostfuls a lot.

Maron bothers me too much. I've listened to a few of his and he isn't the best "interviewer" even if he just going for something that's more conversational.

My buddy sent me a Nerdist podcast episode, and told me to listen to Liam Lynch's ghost encounters when he was living in England. That was messed up. And I don't know who was listening to Liam tell his story, but he was fricken hilarious just listening to him respond to it.

I'm gonna check out this Nerdist thing.
Chris Hardwick's "yay everyone's a super sweet person and I love everything and everything is so great!!!!" attitude can be a little grating, but it's perfectly complemented by Matt Mira's snarkiness and Jonah Ray's weary jadedness. It's why I like the hostful podcasts (when it's just the three of them talking instead of interviewing someone), because sometimes, when they have a guest, the dynamic is a little weird. Not that the interviews aren't interesting, sometimes they're fascinating. They're also a huge podcast, incredibly popular, which affords them a variety of really huge guests, which is nice.

yeah, I found myself getting bored with him about a year ago, I don't listen nearly as faithfully as I used to...his earlier episodes were great though, specifically his 2 part Carlos Mencia interview, Gallagher was oddly fascinating, and there were a few others from 2 years ago or longer ago that were fantastic

For anyone who hasn't heard Radiolab before, I'd recommend it for anyone interested in science/philosophy. There are some amazing stories in there, and the way they integrate sound to emphasise mood and demonstrate the things they're speaking about is great art.
