The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Just found out that a previous owner in our building, who abruptly sold their place and moved out last year, did so because the wife got Covid resulting in permanent lung damage. The doc told her she wouldn’t survive a Chicago winter, so they picked up and went south somewhere. Yikes.
Seeing an interesting shift in discussions about COVID towards it's effects being more like a vascular disease than "severe acute respiratory syndrome". While probably true based on emerging evidence, this is gonna ramp-up vax conspiracy theories.

“A 30-year-old who gets Covid is probably not going to get into any trouble with it as opposed to a 60 or 70-year-old,” Prof Cheng said. “If it has been a long time since [an older person] got their last dose then we start to worry.
“A 30-year-old with … three doses will be optimally protected.”
He added, “Vaccinations are beneficial and protective even for younger people but the more doses you get, the less benefit you derive from them and then we start to worry about causing side effects.”

I'm not too surprised. My dad has certainly been an exception to the norm with his recovery, but the cold still really bothers his lungs. He used to work construction out in the elements and now he can hardly stand being outside in it for longer than 5-10 minutes.

Calm down, no one’s making boosters a requirement for employment.

Kids hospitals are all overun here with COVID, Flu and RSV. And the idiot in charge has made a law against instituting mask mandates in schools.
Isn’t part of the reason this is an issue is because of all the masking?

My kids’ first basketball practice is tomorrow. They’re going to let the kids play without masks but they want us coaches to be masked. Lol
For those keeping score at home, I emailed all the other coaches about not wearing masks tonight. None of us did, and the league director didn’t make a peep about it. Strength in numbers. We win.
