I should also note that RHCP played when the Foo Fighters dropped out. The Foos were sidestage during the Chili Peppers set, and after the encore, Chad Smith said some really nice things and lead the crowd in a shout of "We love you, Taylor"

the full band was there?
I couldn't see everyone, but I believe Chad said that the band and their families were there. Grohl was definitely there since him and Pete Townsend showed up at Preservation Hall on Saturday night.

how was the band? reviews from the shows have been very positive
Even with a festival crowd, they were great. I went in with my expectations seriously in check, and they easily surpassed those expectations. They brought a ton of energy, dropped some fun tags in ("I Feel Love", "Guns of Brixton"), and the material sounded good. I'm sure it was helped by the fact that they weren't gonna disappoint the Foo crew families sitting there, but I was impressed.
I honestly think I enjoyed last night's show more than the last time I saw them back when they were touring on By The Way (though the fact that this was my first post-pandemic concert beyond our local clubs probably factors in some).

I didn't expect to go to bat for the Chili Peppers like this in 2022, but if anyone gets a chance to see them this year, I'd take it. It's worth it in ways I wouldn't have expected a month or two ago.
