I got my hands on some fennel bulbs, turnips, beets, and venison sausage. My instinct is to slice the sausage and cook it in the pan with garlic and the fennel, then boil the turnips and beets, but I'm open to suggestions.

I mainly stuck with the recipe. I must say adding in that four cups of water with the corn meal was going to make it too soupy, but it worked out just fine. Dropping in some Mexican shredded cheese with a little sour cream? The Best. Thanks for the recipe, sir.
