Either you have it or you don't. You're either gonna die or you're not.
My wife has kids who are at their dads but supposed to come back to us. Are you suggesting they come over without knowing if she still has it and then go to school?
It's a little different if you already have it. I'm talking more about these people who are testing themselves every day to see if they have it yet. Edit: It wasn't in reply to your comment.
If you were talking about people who weren't sick or exposed, then you sure did a great job painting this picture...

I don't read you people's posts before I post.
This checks out.
limiting exposures is important. if that means testing when you have symptoms or are uncertain, why not?

As long as we close our eyes.
I always close my eyes when feeling around for the butthole. It’s the only way to get an accurate result.

From a daycare perspective — at least in our world — there are specific parameters on getting a negative test and being fever free for three consecutive days before entering the building (after testing positive that is)

Negative test - go about your life. Positive test - quarantine and health department tries to find your exposures before they expose more people

What diseases should we be testing for? I am sure more than just Covid.

Yes except our health dept has thrown in the total in contact tracing

Well, that's the reason for testing. If you're health department doesn't give a shit (which I doubt is true). There's little reason to test unless you've been exposed and might change you plans.

This stuff will never not be funny to me:
So on Wednesday I am at the Husky basketball game as I mentioned, and about 3/4 through the game the guy next to me (who was with his wife) ultimately pulls his mask down below his chin and just leaves it there the rest of the game.
Yesterday same guy brings a buddy to the game and his mask comes off the instant they get to their seats.
Oh and the student band members were all wearing masks with holes cut out so they could play their flutes and trumpets.
Theater. It’s theater.
Was it required for entry? I didn't see your previous post
Yep. Then once you’re in, do your thing.
But let’s be real. If you leave the house, you’re getting exposed. If someone you live with leaves the house, you’re getting exposed. The “health and safety protocols” are just such a joke.
My kids had a bday party at Dave & Busters today (that place is legit by the way, never been before) and there’s another great example of masks being a fkn joke.

I definitely get a basketball arena isn't going to be able to enforce mask wearing once everybody is in their seats, but ultimately isn't anything you can do mitigate risk worth it? Especially something as simple as a mask.
