I only listened once so far but I liked it. I mean it seems right down the line of what a Neil Young & Crazy Horse album would sound like. The only song I thought was cringey lyric wise was Canerican

Wow, I've missed a lot of Neil since I last checked in on his discog. I think the last album I checked out was Psychedelic Pill.
Giving Rust Bucket a listen today and it's loose as can be. I take it this is from the Ragged Glory era? The Zuma songs on there sound especially good.

Yep, I think it's from late '90 -- it's a great one, one of the best recent archive releases in my opinion.
I don't think you've missed out on much studio album-wise -- a few nice things here and there, but nothing essential. Lots of great archival stuff released since then though.

I'm not too clear on the later era NY vinyl pressing quality. Should I get a readily available Silver & Gold LP for $25, or wait for him to announce a repress as part of his archives project?
honestly shocked they went with Rogan/free speech over Young/sanity
are you really shocked though? I mean, rogan probably makes spotify a hell of a lot more money than Neil. Neil begrudgingly put his music on spotify to begin with. Im sure spotify doesnt give a shit about neil.

yeah i hadn't even considered the ad revenues for podcasts (probably because i've never listened to a podcast on Spotify), but I bet Rogan does make them more money.
NY made a cultural impact 50 years ago. Rogan makes one now. That and the $100 million contract Rogan has with Spotify was all that you had to know to know who Spotify was going with.
