I'm very glad you guys are enjoying this! We have released other Radiohead titles in the past that were largely ignored so I wasn't totally sure if this would be a hit.
Reading back over the thread, I forgot to respond to the tree...

Exactly. All of this stuff was already mastered, and quite a bit, for mass consumption.
More than half of the stuff here was released across various DVD's and the broadcast-sourced stuff is nearly identical in terms of the audio mastering. You can't really hear much of a difference. And since the audio mix is so pristine, it is reasonable to assume that the material was multi-tracked and then remixed and mastered later. A very controlled situation.
All that was needed to compile this set was to make all songs the same level, because the general levels were low and all over the place from song to song.
So any potential complaints about the sound quality should be directed towards Radiohead's audio team. Not my fault! However, if there are better sources for any of these tracks, I would like to know about it.

Wrapping my third straight listen. I get such a woody from that run of Bloom > Daily Mail > Feral.
I think the only song in the whole set that feels a little flat is optimistic. Energy feels a little low, or maybe it’s the lack of atmospherics found on the album.

this recording is haunted. i'm not kidding.
three times now I paused it in the middle of a song, only to have it start playing by itself hours later from a random spot in a song (when no one was even close to my computer). it happened early this morning at about 2 in the morning at the beginning of give up the ghost. i was waiting for my phone to ring.

They definitely dial it back, but it's still to be found on most albums (not really Amnesiac or King of Limbs).

Also check out the Airbag EP for more rock.
What's potentially more exciting is that they start to hit those emotional highs with less typical arrangements. Songs like Idioteque, Sit Down Stand Up, Life In a Glasshouse, Identikit, and more will offer the same catharsis without BIG GUITARS and Thom swinging for the rafters.

You're about to hit the good albums.
Dammit Spenno your continued under-appreciation of The Bends just really bums me out. I think it's one of the last truly unique rock guitar albums ever made.

I put this on the other day at work- thank you. Saw the videos years ago and was nice to revisit a high quality source.
