who was drumming with them at that moment? Matt Walker?
Jimmy Flemion from the Frogs was on keyboards, stepping in for Melvoin after he OD'ed.
It was Dennis on keyboards. Jimmy was a crew member and would pick dancers for "1979".
My bad! I totally remember the "1979" dancers, and remember Jimmy (in what I seem to recall were large bat or dragon wings) being called out by name by Billy right before that song, which is probably why the confusion.

The Pumpkins have done a really masterful job with their deluxe re-issues. Some choices can be nitpicked but they are really well thought out and give some insight into just how good and proficient Billy was. Fingers crossed we get the Machina set soon.
Metallica does a pretty good job as well.

I don’t think I will get to the rest pre-Sea.Hear.Now but I will pick this all back up when I get back.
Enjoy and thanks for these. Interested in hearing what you think of the remainder of the SP catalogue. I'm a big fan of Oceania and think highly of Shiny....

yeah, you have an interest road ahead....
Big fan of Zeitgeist, like a lot Shiny and have mixed feeling about Cyr ( i need to listen to it again).
Teargarden is a mixed bag, sounds awful but the songs are good. Oceania is weird...i kinda liked it back in the day...nowadays its pretty awful for me. Monuments...hated it when it came out, and kind liked it with time.
Oh! guys should be listen to the American Gothic EP?

so a top 5 of mellon collie/aeroplane era songs? this thread did prompt me to listen to the whole aeroplane set the other day so those songs are fresh in my mind. i could probably just name the thirty-three single and get away with that as a top 5 (6, i guess), that disc is so good. nice to see to forgive mentioned, that has always been a favorite. set the ray to jerry would be on there. so...
aeroplane set the ray to forgive thirty-three muzzle... maybe. i dunno, i could probably pick 3-4.
i guess i like the quieter stuff.
