Kurt Cobain is a lot like Johnny Cash I think: Not particularly interesting or innovative, but had a wonderfully soulful voice that made you feel it, so the rest doesn't really matter.

Of all the big 4 Grunge bands Nirvana are the only one I never really connected with. I enjoy their songs, but I never seek them out and I'm not sure if I've ever listened to one of their albums all the way through.

Did not know Alice Cooper's publisher sued KISS over Dreamin' as it bears far more than a resemblance to I'm Eighteen. Settled out of court in Cooper's favor as well, which is good because fuck KISS.

Just discovering Suede. So British but adorable. I think I’m going to enjoy this. The have a b-sides album Sci-Fi Lullabies that can rival Oasis and Radiohead b-sides.

I didn’t say he was precise, I said it was a great show. He definitely had the crowd in his hands. Granted, he has gone through so many iterations and shown so many sides of himself. When was the footage you saw from?

Ha. I wasn’t trying to stop you from posting the footage - just reminiscing about my experience. As mentioned somewhere else, at HORDE with Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Primus, and a host of others.
Which gets me thinking about how little concert tickets cost back then. I think I paid like $35 for that, $19.97 (not sure how I remember that) for the ROAR tour (Iggy Pop, Sponge, and some others), $23 for Pearl Jam at MSG in ‘98…my how times have changed.
