i've never heard of people buying a veggie tray for themselves. isn't it cheaper and better just to buy the individual vegetables?

Maybe it’d been dropped all over the floor.

Last night I made sweet potatoes with a red pepper sauce. We each had a whole sweet potato as our main part of the meal. Truthfully, while it tasted great it was a little too much potato. The red pepper sauce will definitely be done up again as an alternative topping for baked potatoes.

The month of February has an event called Dine Out Vancouver where restaurants come up with some very nicely priced 3 course meals with suggested wine pairings. I do wish that wine paired meals were within my budget more often than they are.

It has inspired me to get Fiona to agree to try to host one paired wine dinner a month through out the summer. A chance to reconnect with friends in person over the course of a staged meal get together. We have a few recipes in mind and the research into finding matching wines will be fun.
