The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
After four months of shopping, permitting, getting a custom heat pad build, site visits, etc, we are finally scheduled to have a wood stove installed on Thursday. This was supposed to happen a couple weeks ago, but when the guy showed up to cut a hole in our ceiling, he got up there and said "Uh-oh, we didn't realize we'd have to go through an eave. This will require a sub."
Sub comes out, bids it at $3500. That's more than the stove! We freak out, express our disappointment that they didn't catch this until the last stage despite our submitting plans for approval to the HOA (with the stove company's reviewing them), and two prior site visits by the install guy. So we balk, tell the stove people we're about ready to return the whole thing and get our money back...
Sub calls us back within a couple hours and says "Ok I can do the roof mod for $250, but you'll want to spend the other $3250 some day if you want it to look nice on the exterior." Lol. He comes and does the mod, it's virtually invisible from outside unless you're standing in one tight little corner between us and the neighbors.
We'll get it fixed up next summer probably, but wtf. They're all in cahoots, I tells ya.
I'm jealous of the wood stove. I love that smell when I'm running outside in the winter.

don't think so. She seems to understand the concept of the stove being hot, and there's no practical way to completely bar her from the wood stove. It will literally be more practical to watch her every second, and to react quickly when she eventually does get her hand onto some hot iron.
