I know the Doors aren't one of the better thought of bands on RM but Jim Morrison to me is who I think of when someone says spoken word. Something about his cadence. He's really one of the few people I can stand doing it.

What about those sections of boy band songs where they stop singing and usually the one guy that isn't good enough to sing a solo does that whisper-rap thing? Like "hey girl you know you're a hottie, why don't you let me come and rock that body"? Does that count or is that poorly executed white boy rap?

Now we know Ruddo’s signature move.

Guns N Roses Get In The Ring is like a top five all timer

There are probably 5-6 songs on the Use Your Illusion albums that have weird spoken word passages. "Get In the Ring" is definitely the most memorable but it's this bizarre bit dropped into the middle of their cover of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" that gets my prize for sheer randomness:

"You just better start sniffin' your own rank subjugation Jack
'Cause it's just you against your tattered libido, the bank and the mortician forever, man.
And it wouldn't be luck if you could get out of life alive."

Let’s not forget that this was an era in which Brett Michaels literally challenged Axl Rose to a boxing match on MTV

Literally three seconds into the first track of the debut album. "Hey, baby. I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you."
