I always think of you when I see a Hoka. My brother in law wears Cliftons too. I don't think I could ever get into them, but then again these shitty Houston streets are tough. Is the appeal primarily cushion?

It's more about me forgetting to unsubscribe, but I've been a subscriber for so long that I bet I'd miss some of the features that are there if they left. Do you get heart rate distribution, zone distribution and suffer score on the regular version? It's always exciting looking at that data after a good run and helpful after a bad one.

The feature of Strava I enjoy the most, aside from the obvious GPS and segment data, is flybys. I like seeing other Strava people on my runs. Just makes it feel like the community it's designed to be. I also like watching my run play back. Reliving it. Learning from it. Not sure if that's a premium feature or not, but I'd miss it if it were gone.

I think for probably 90% of people who wear Hokas the extra thicc cushioning is the main appeal. But I run on my forefoot and most of the extra padding is in the heel, so I don't really get to enjoy the benefit of it. I have wide feet with falling arches, and so far Hoka has been the only brand I've found where almost everything they offer in both road and trail fits me and doesn't cause blisters or make my plantar fasciitis flare up.

I'll have to keep exploring the Premium features. I don't think I had access to any of that stuff in the free version.

I want to try the Hokas just out of morbid curiosity, if I'm being honest. I wish they weren't so expensive.

I also want to try Kinvaras with the 4" drops.

I'm all over the place.

Morbid curiosity??

Some of the most badass runners in the world wear Hokas exclusively.

It's not all fats and mall walkers.

You can get the previous year's model Cliftons for like $90 usually.

Way to respect the grind fellas. Goggins would be proud.

I've been mainly on the treadmill lately and along with the sweating problem I've also gained a bit of weight. I hate the treadmill. It's just not as productive as being outside.
