The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I bought my wife Animal Crossing and I just heard her yell "I love this game" from the other side of the house. I don't think I'm getting my Switch back.

I beat SpiderMan Remastered and moved on to Miles Morales. Spiderman had some really cool moments but overall it was a bit disappointing. I don't like smashing square button and watching animations unfold as I'm punching and kicking over and over. It's fun for a while but it feels like I'm not really doing the work. "press O to dodge... NOW".. OK! And it always tells you where to go on the map and when you get there it tells you exactly what to do. I dunno. It's a good game for this style, maybe I just don't like this style.
About 5 hours into Miles Morales, I'm impressed by its next-gen qualities. I'm really liking the improved camera work and graphics but the story is turning out to be pretty dull and poorly written. It's better than Spiderman but I'm still disappointed. Sigh.. not regretting playing these games but was expecting more with all the hype around them and doubt I will ever revisit them.

Same map, but it's prettier in the winter time, with snow falling and blanketing the city. It didn't really need to change. You don't explore it in the same way you would in a Zelda game. It's almost always a blur as you're slinging around the city and parkouring around buildings, simply going where the markers in the HUD tell you to go. It's seldom I stand still and admire the graphics but when I do, it's very pretty.

I didn’t get tired of the map. Flying around is easily the best part of the game. That being said, I’m wondering what they plan to do to expand it because using the same map for three games MAY start to get a little tiresome at some point.
My personal enjoyment of open world games comes down to a few fundamental questions:
-Do I enjoy spending time in this world (location/time period) and with my character? -Is the combat enjoyable? -Do I care about story? -Are side missions worth doing (for upgrades or story)? -Is there enough mission variety? -Is the basic gameplay loop satisfying?
Really enjoying it so far. It's different enough to have some new story while keeping the nostalgia factor high. Much more playable and well-paced than FFXV.

I just climbed my first tall neck in HZD and was like woah...this map is huge. I am somehow still not 100% sold on this game, but that was a moment where I had a rush of excitement for how much there's left to explore.

DE is 60 bucks, which is ridiculous cuz the other systems are basically giving it away.. IFR is getting really good reviews like its botw meets God of war

No one report me, but I'm thinking about turning the difficulty down and just sort of waltzing through it.

Man theseus and the minotaur are complete bastards on hades
The worst! Took me forever to beat those two.
Finally
I had the special (spear throw) on level 3 doom damage or whatever combined with the homing missle skewer attack where it hits multiple people per throw (like yondu on guardians)

Do it!
I will say that I enjoyed how challenging it was, which it a rarity for me. It makes you use all the tools in your disposal at regular difficulty and its really fun. Just some food for thought.

I too enjoyed the difficulty. The special armor at the end of the game makes you basically unstoppable.
