How is Wildlife, btw? I've got it queued up on Netflix, mostly because of Carey Mulligan.

It’s terrific. Dano’s a real film maker. Mulligan delivers a stellar performance.

Cool, maybe I'll watch it tonight. Been weighing that one and First Cow, which I rented as a Black Friday deal.

Just to make sure I'm not off-topic, I plan to watch both of these movies on my TV.

They’re both terrific and you can’t go wrong in either one. First Cow is much more languid, as to be expected with Reichert

I love her stuff, absolutely all of it. I have First Cow on my laptop, but haven't watched it yet.

I’ve only seen Old Joy, Wendy& Lucy, Certain Women, and First Cow. I keep meaning to watch Meek’s Cutoff. The one with Mark Zuckerberg looks weird and atypical for her.

Any opinion on her pre-Old Joy films?

I saw River Of Grass, the remastered version that came out a few years ago. Beautiful. Old Joy, a masterpiece. Wendy & Lucy was great, super sad.
Havent finished Certain Women, i should.

we've now had Vikings, Barbarians (about Germanic tribes), and Last Kingdom (largely about the Saxons) but we've never had a TV drama about the Celts

So in the Friends episode where Phoebe is trying to teach Joey French and hilarity ensues how do they handle that in the dub on French TV?

Sometimes a similar thing will happen with Spanish, and in the Spanish dub they simply switch it to another language.

Are Picts considered Celts? Can't remember.

It never occurred to me that they would just pick another language. Thanks.

Picts are generally the Celts that migrated up to Scotland
