In Joe’s defense, it really isn’t quite as good as Fetch the Bolt Cutters.

Puscifer's (Maynard James Keenan, Carina Round) Existential Reckoning is definitely worth a listen. A smorgasbord of synth and vocal brilliance.

My picks:

I have been very absent from this thread but I have certainly been listening to a lot of 2020 stuff. It's been a very good year.

I know these guys were posted earlier but really enjoy Fontaines DC's album A Hero's Death. 'Televised Mind' brings out all the things I love about the current post punk nostalgia.

Samantha Crain is an Oklahoma songwriter who's had her share of accidents. She released A Small Death this year and I love this tune - 'Pastime'.

I like almost everything that Ripley Johnson is involved with - particularly Moon Duo. But this new album from Rose City Band, Summerlong, may be my fave album of the year so far. Here's 'Wildflowers', indicative of the quality of the album.

This was worth popping into this thread for - I was aware of this coming out, but somehow hadn't given anything beyond a couple of singles a listen.
These were great!

Hey all, long time no see

I'm just drafting my annual end of year compilation and I discovered a shocking thing. I haven't discover ANY new artists this year!

Many of you have a fair idea of my taste by now - anyone care to recommend some 2020 songs/albums from new(ish) artists that I should check out?

Nels Cline is not new, but it's a new incarnation of one of his many projects.

Jerry Joseph's This Beautiful Madness is produced by Patterson Hood and DBT are the backing band here. The album is excellent. Here's a timely tune - 'Dead Confederate', sung from the POV of a statue people want to tear down.
