The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

A few weeks ago i finally started playing Odyssey. I haven't played a Mario game since 64. It's not that I didn't want to i just didn't keep up with the Nintendo consoles for a long while....anyways i'm having so much damn fun. Finished the story, and now i'm just going back and collecting all those moons i missed. Sitting at about 420 i think so far. After that i think i will be picking up 3D All Stars so i can have a go at Galaxy and Sunshine.
Still picking away at Odyssey. Cleared 800 moons this morning.
hit 878 over the weekend. took quite a few hours to finally beat the Darker Side run, holy hell that was a tough one. The 2 remaining moons are the jump rope and beach volleyball minigames. Not sure i can stomach trying to complete those so i think i'm just gonna call it at 878 .
I still play a lot of Mario 35 and I gotta say, I'm pretty good at it.
Same here. Averaging about a top 5 finish at this point. I usually lose by running out of time when the clock starts speeding up, missing a jump when I'm really rushing through things, or when I get 8 Lakitus on the screen at one time.

Yeah I'm not truly happy with myself unless I'm in the top 3.

You need to make sure you maintain your clock so when you get down to the top 5 you're close to maxed out in time. Also have plenty of coins so when you get late in the game you can keep hitting the item roulette.

I like always sending my enemies to attackers because that's how you send them to mutiple people at once, and those people are also sending them right back at you. Which means you end up with a lot of enemies on the screen and as long as they're not lakitus that's a good thing because it means more time on your clock as you kill them.
What's your fave and least favorite levels to play through?
Aside from any levels with Lakitu, I can't stand 1-3 anymore. Not enough enemies, no star to let you blitz through it and not enough flat ground. The other tree levels don't come up that often so when they do it's still novel and interesting.
I really like 4-4 and 7-4 and I usually pick one of those two on the select screen.
