crazy example. but even then. say you're just a clerk at a grocery store. all of a sudden a coworker is having a confrontation with someone who supposedly raped his sister. seems unlikely that 5 other clerks join him to beat the guy outside.

No one ever showed up. I suspect the grocery store employees were satisfied with their vigilante justice/knew that they had toed the line. And I guess the guy knew he had done something wrong. I suspect he was just stealing...

Until at least the start of the year, yes. All kinds of tech issues early on but those finally seem resolved (?). The three days leading up to Thanksgiving are typically crazy busy but this is not a typical year.
