The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
How has the CFR changed from the beginning of the pandemic to now? If the CFRs denominator is too hard to confidently state, then whats the trend for fatality rate for those admitted to the hospital or put into the ICU?
I've heard it alleged that we are better able to treat this now, but I don't know what thats based off of. It burned through skilled nursing homes in some earlier spikes, so that could certainly make it seem better now if its prevelent in lower risk communities than before.

So last week, the White House (yes, that White House) ordered our state to implement a mask mandate because our numbers are getting higher and higher. Our governor has let each county decide if they need one* so he told the WH no, TN will not be implementing any kind of mask mandate.
* My county’s charter specifically says any kind of mandates like that have to be made at the state level, so there will be no mandate in my county. Which is why our hospital is about 90% full right now.

I read about that. I think it's strange that the white house people dont wear masks but they are ordering TN people to.
Also I wonder why the white house didn't order ND, SD, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, or Iowa to? Maybe they already have state mandates I guess.
Pretty bad that the governor said no especially if he knows that county charters could say oniy state mandates allowed.
I think elected officials should have a minimum IQ . That would stop alot of this madness

This is link to good map. Scroll down just a little and wait 3 or 5 seconds for map to appear. It shows the hot spots or the amounts of new cases per 100,000 in the past 2 weeks by county.
What the heck Wisconsin? p.s The below is just a screenshot. Use the link to zoom right in to see the counties

Flu shot day tomorrow at work. I wonder, by percentage, if they will see more people than usual. I say by percentage because there's a lot fewer people who work in the office now than in past years.

thank you Burt for reminding us about all the nanny poo poo when it was only the US down in the covid toilet and the eurotrash were quick to tout the benefits of a weak water pressure system and now how the tables of turned as we are all in the toilet and the myth of two-prong electrical outlet superiority is exposed

The American plains into the southeast has the lowest mask and social distancing adherence in the developed world, and also consistently displays among the highest case rates per capita.
No American state with a consistently maintained mask and social distancing guideline is in the top 50 worldwide, even though those states represent 2/3 of the American population.
