The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I'm not into the hint system at all. What's the point? Why play the game at all if I can just watch a video then repeat? Seems silly. I like getting my ass kicked, feeling like a loser, then googling for hints and pretending I did it all by myself. At least that's somewhat challenging. None of these features seem like anything I need. Maybe I'll be surprised by them, dunno. Load times are great, though.
It's an option. You don't have to use it. If it is streamlined, I would much rather prefer it to be part of the UI that trying to find it in a long YouTube video or hidden in some ad-filled online guide.
I feel like crap everytime I cheat. I need more barriers, not less.

It depends on the game, but I've never felt guilty about looking up where to find collectibles. I'm not 14 anymore. I don't have an infinite amount of time to play my favorite games.

I'm not thinking about collectibles. More like Souls games and how to beat a boss or where to go next. Getting 100% with collectibles and what not is going to be less impressive now.

I watched the UI preview half asleep, but appears there's not going to be any option to have a Theme on the home screen (or something similar to what we're used to now for PS4)? Not a big deal, just wondering if I missed something about that option being offered

Lot of unknowns right now. Part of me hopes they go radio silent for the last 2-3 weeks to leave some mystery/surprises.

Yeah I'd rather have a few surprises saved for game day, particularly the performance of PS4 games on PS5. Since most of the PS4 to PS5 updates appear to be free, I think I'll hold out on watching any PS5 gameplay of PS4 games until I have the system in my hands/on my bit ass 4K TV.

I do hope there is some kind of customization option for the UI. Not a deal breaker by any means, but it's always kind of irked me that you have to have your games mixed in with all the other apps/links. The PS5 UI, while pretty, appears to be even more unorganized than the PS4's. Again not a huge deal but would be pretty cool to have the option to organize however we choose.

Yeah I take that back, having watched the end of the video more closely. On the new home screen I like the way games and media are portioned out. Wasn't a huge fan of all the 'activity cards' or whatever they're called for the first half of the video, but the home screen does look nice and modernized compared to the dated PS4 look now. The speed/responsiveness of everything look f'ing amazing too. This further motivation for me to finally get a hard wire/ethernet cable connection direct to my PS instead of relying on wifi
