Yeah he’s burned eBay goodwill he had with me since the HOF tantrums. I’m sorry you’re not still with the band but get over it.

Yeah Dave’s comment is an obvious dig at PJ, but it inadvertently shits on Shawn Smith. What a doofus.
I don't know, I certainly don't think that was his intent.
Dave and Shawn were recording together in recent years (potentially more recently than even Brad were), so there was some pretty clear mutual respect going on.
I'm just hanging out for that eventual Gossard/Abbruzzese album I feel (or hope) is coming some day.
If if weren't for the sake of keeping intraband peace, I feel like this would've happened already.

in the run up to the HOF, I recall a Mike radio interview where they mention Dave A and he says he's a great drummer and hope's he's doing well and starts saying something like 'Dave, if you're out there, let's jam' but stops short - because he realizes that daddy eddie or one of the keepers of the profit shadow will smout him

Or he realized how he annoying he was. There's a reason such a talented drummer never does anything of note after getting fired from such a notable band.

yeah, this guy is living in the past. It's kinda sad. I follow Dave A on Facebook and 90% of his posts are about 1992-1994. He's like the Mickey Rourke (the Wrestler) of grunge....
A great drummer who was fired from the biggest band in the world in 1994. He never landed another gig. Even Dave Krusen had way more gigs and become permanent drummer for Candlebox. He's still touring and making money I guess.

yeah, it was super weird he couldnt get another gig. Maybe as a touring drummer even, like Matt Chamberlain. Im not sure why it didnt happened for Dave A after the PJ thing.
