That fixer demo is revelatory. So much more interesting with that crazy fast spoons/buckets/whatever thing blazing away in the background.

That's really great, Matt is very down to earth, I like his description of his role as a drummer in a band, and his views on the current state of music business.

I think the first project he mentions is with Hifiklub, a jazz-experimental French band that has just released a new album: https://www.hifiklub.com/project/rupture/

This was alright.

Host was kind of irritating but Matt seems like a great guy.

just finished it.

Yeah, Matt is super cool. Loved the bits about his role in PJ and SG, his creative choices within those two band...interesting he loves playing Garden and Deep...and nice to know they played Take The Long Way live....

Let’s Do It For The Phones might as well be Last Day of August (which I really like btw).

I am 3/4 of the way through. I think what is hard is that if you classify this as a supergroup that for the most part it doesn’t play off the strengths of the individuals cited (Kim is evident but seems like he’s holding back most of the album, same with Matt). Other than a few bass lines you would never know Krist Novoselic was playing but for the credits. So it falls back on the songs, which are okay. Diamond in the Cold and I Choose Me are the songs I most hear these guys. It may just take a few listens.

Edit: I really liked the last song.
