Pretty weak year for new albums for me. Highlights so far:

Pearl Jam
Jay Electronica
Neil Young (Homegrown)
Jeff Parker
Haim
The Necks
Thundercat
Laura Marling
Phish (wtf)

And then Bill Frissell’s Good Dog, Happy Man is an older one that I discovered and have been loving.

Anticipated albums by Grimes, Stephen Malkmus, and DJ Shadow were pretty disappointing.

I suspect the forthcoming Bill Callahan album will be a highlight, based on the four songs I’ve heard so far.

There’s also a Gillian Welch outtakes collection I’m excited for, and rumors of a new Kendrick record which I’m sure I’ll love.

I haven't made a top 10 list yet, but I am sure Fetch the Boltcutters is in there. It's a great album

It has a big lead on my top ten. Margo Price and My Morning Jacket are up there but a ways behi d.

The new Margo Price is fantastic.

The thing hangs together really well as an album. I don't remember loving any of the individual singles either. I honestly don't remember which one's they were, actually. But I loved listening to the complete record today.

Courtney Marie Andrews' new record 'Old Flowers' is gorgeous. I just discovered her earlier this year. Spotify recommended her 2018 record 'May Your Kindness Remain' to me and gave it a spin and instantly fell in love. It's got to be one of my favorite records of 2018.

This one will probably end up being one of my favorites of 2020. Big fan.

I've only given it one full playthrough so far (although I listened the shit out of the singles), but it's real good.
